Released in 2007, Love Song is the first single off Sara Bareilles' first studio album with a major label, Little Voice, and was the song that helped her shot to fame. Bareilles wrote the song as a response to her record label asking her to write a "marketable love song". It was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in the 2009 Grammy Awards.
